Workshop Aims
This workshop is a must for any employer running an occupational sick pay scheme in addition to SSP, if they want to avoid paying the cost of OSP created by a third party’s negligence! A well worded OSP scheme should include provision for recovery of any sick pay paid to an employee who has been absent from work as the result of negligence or injury caused by others.
We provide a full set of suggested best practice procedures, including:
- Scheme wording,
- Employee mandates authorising release of information, and
- Calculation pro-forma’s.
The workshop also offers employers an excellent opportunity to update themselves on best practice if employers have a scheme in place but don’t know the legal basis for its operation, Absence from work following an RTA at full pay could easily cost your organisation thousands of pounds – don’t miss out on recovering a large proportion of this!
